Purchased this because I wanted to switch from a 3x8 drive train to a 1x9 X-Wide (turning my "micro" 24-inch MTB into an all purpose bike). Finding a shorter crankset at a beginner friendly price is a chore, but the Zeron 1-X 30T at 152mm pairs perfectly with the RaceFace XC Bottom Bearing and the Box Prime 9 drivetrain. So far this crankset has survived all the rookie misakes when setting up a new drivetrain, a flight (disassembled the bike to fly out of state), XC style riding on big rocks/pebbles in Snoqualmie Pass, and back home. Never has the chain fallen off!
It's going to be hard to find another brand name crankset with similar quality at this price point. I think SR Suntour has a new crankset customer for life!
I don't usually review things online, but these Zeron cranks have exceeded my expectations. They're on-par in weight with higher-end aluminum cranks. Chainring looks cheap, but works well with both 10s and 12s chains. A great option if you want to try short cranks (or outfit a kids bike) without breaking the bank.

WIll review again later, but so far doing well on the one ride. The 160mm length fit the application perfectly.
wanted to try shorter cranks. bought for great price and love them. well made, do not see them wearing out any time soon, they are cranks afterall!
