Happy with the fork! Great budget upgrade from OEM coil fork. But the 5 star review really stems from the exceptional customer service from SR Suntour North America. Very pleased, and will always consider SR Suntour forks going forwards!
A great step up from the XCT 30 that came with the bike. Although adjusting preload is more complicated than the coil shock, performance is much improved, variable damping allows for adjustments depending on terrain. Whereas the XCT 30 felt springy, allowing for it to be taken advantage of to bounce up obstacles, The Raidon doesn't bounce to full extension so easily. However, it is lighter making the same obstacles a little easier to tackle. I am by no means an expert rider bombing vertical faces, however as a beginner/ intermediate, I feel the performance difference via less skipping across features and ultimately a smoother ride with less NVH and more contact/control.

It's kind of a shame that the mid/high tier forks from SR Suntour are often overlooked. I've put the Raidon through it's paces for the last few weeks and have had absolutely no problems. I've been blown away by the consistency and the dampening. Especially on the more rooty/rocky trails. It's not like I'm taking the thing out on double blacks/pro lines. But for an XC/Trail fork, this thing is overbuilt. I live in western NC. I've been in the Pisgah, the Dupont, and Bent Creek. All are pretty globally recognized MTB destinations. I've yet to find a reasonable trail that I'm uncomfortable taking this fork on.
Great price compared to similar Rockshox products. They shipped it super quickly and even set it to 120mm of travel upon request. Installation went without a hitch and it performed great on the first ride. Huge upgrade over the stock fork on my entry level hardtail. Thanks for being awesome SR Suntour!
